A: Not a problem! We understand homes can be private places. Alternative venues can be agreed on, for example there are local rehearsal rooms and studios spaces that can be hired where we can both meet and record in. Similarly, you may be able to arrange to use a friend or relatives home, or even a local village hall. It's all about thinking creatively. Drop us a message and we can help you to think of a solution!
A: Absolutely none! We have all the experience and knowledge needed to run productive recording sessions. This could be your first session, it could be your fiftieth. No matter how experienced you are, we'd love to help you on your journey to releasing great music.
A: No, we can work with young musicians too! However, for safeguarding reasons, we require an adult to be present at any recording sessions where people under 18 are present.
A: No. We work with solo artists too. Don't be put off by headers and form titles that address 'bands' and ask for 'band names'. Just enter the information applicable to your solo act and you'll be well on the way to working with the people who have the potential to transform your music career!
A: For one of our recording sessions, you'll need any instruments you want to record and any written music and/or lyrics. We'll supply recording equipment and headphones. If there is a particular set of headphones you want to use or a particular microphone(s) that you really want to feature in your music, we can accommodate using that in the process. That'll be something we discuss during your free thirty minute project consultation.
A: It's a shared opinion throughout the music industry that the mastering engineer should come into a project with 'fresh ears'. We do have mastering knowledge and experience, but as we mix a lot of our clients' music, we recommend they have a someone else polish the mix. Think of it as getting a second opinion! We’d be happy to point you in the direction of some quality mastering engineers we've met on our journey!
A: You could be very new to the concept of being an artist, but as long as you have material to record and it’s well rehearsed then step forward! The more rehearsed you are, the more efficient the recording sessions will be. That means you'll be able to save money spending less times recording fewer takes. If you feel you need a little more time to perfect your music, we'd recommend you use that and then come and book in with us.
A: In our experience, two days is a good amount of time to record everything for a single. This can differ depending on the complexity of the song and the competency of the musicians. The time it takes to set up and pack down a session must happen within the agreed booking, so it may be more beneficial to book one longer session rather than two shorter sessions. Have a look at our day rate which offers a discounted price!
